First responders responded to an incident involving Britney Spears at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles early Thursday morning.
Sources familiar with the pop star say the incident stemmed from a fight she had with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, at the luxe hotel.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey confirmed that an ambulance was called to the Chateau Marmont around 12:42am, local time.
“We received a 911 call reporting an adult female, who had been injured,” the LAFD rep says.
“The caller did not have much information regarding the nature of the injury. We sent one ambulance to the location.”
We’re told the emergency response vehicle was at the scene until 1:17am. Only the fire department responded to the call, and police were not on the scene.
Humphrey adds, “It’s not clear from the reports” whether first responders “offered any treatment,” but notes that they “did not transport anyone to the hospital.”
A source also tells us Spears, who lives in nearby Thousand Oaks, California, left with security, adding that she is “home now and is safe.” A separate source close to Spears, 42, reaffirms, “She is home and fine.”
But in a concerning since-deleted post to her Instagram account overnight, Spears appeared to label the report of her incident “fake news” – and even seemed to suggest the photos of her were actually of a body double.
“Just to let people know … the news is fake !!! Most of the pics are bod doubles and I think most know that !!! I would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday !!! Truth sucks so can someone teach me how to lie ???” she wrote on her Instagram account before later deleting the post.
Photos obtained by Page Six show the singer holding a pillow while outside of the Chateau Marmont, with Soliz standing beside her wearing a blue flannel shirt, black jeans, a cap and sneakers.
A first responder can also be seen in the images, holding a stretcher and leaving the scene, as Spears looks in the direction of the paparazzi cameras. She appeared to be surrounded by bodyguards.
Page Six broke the news in August 2023 that Spears was “getting close” with Soliz, her former housekeeper, but insiders also shared at the time that they were concerned given his criminal past.
Court records we previously obtained showed he had been charged with multiple misdemeanours and even a felony, including child endangerment.
The latest ordeal involving Spears and Soliz occurred shortly after she settled her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari late Wednesday night.
We confirmed the former couple had called it quits in August 2023 after 14 months of marriage.
“Britney is continuing to turn the page,” a source told Page Six earlier Thursday, adding that the divorce was finalised “amicably” given the pair’s “iron-clad prenup.”
Spears also recently reached a settlement with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, in their conservatorship case, allowing them to avoid going to trial in what already had been a 13-year battle.
Jamie, 71, placed Britney under the controversial legal arrangement in February 2008, and a Los Angeles judge terminated it in November 2021 after the Grammy winner described it as “abusive.”
Since regaining her freedom, Britney has been blowing her estimated $US60 million estate on lavish vacations, though they denied reports that she is “going broke.”
“She has no concept of money,” one insider said. “For over a decade, other people were in charge of her bank accounts, and every purchase had to be reported to the court — even if it was just a pack of gum. But now, she’s on her own.”
TMZ was first to report the news of the incident at the Chateau Marmont. Reps for the hotel and Britney could not immediately be reached for comment.
