Hollywood actor keeps it casual while staying in Sydney

A Hollywood actor has been spotted hanging out on her hotel balcony in Sydney and keeping it very casual.

Actor Anya Taylor Joy has been spotted barefoot and having a smoke on her hotel balcony in Sydney.

Joy, 28, was wearing an oversized white T-shirt and chatting with someone from her team who was holding a laptop.

She looked casual, relaxed, and very much unbothered.

The actor, who was born in Florida but raised in England and Argentina, is currently in Australia promoting Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga the sequel to the 2015 box-office hit Fury Road.

She’s been hanging out with her co-star Chris Hemsworth to promote the film, and the pair have been putting in the hard yards together to brave Sydney’s rainy weather this week.

Yesterday, the pair were spotted at Circular Quay doing their best to avoid puddles after some less-than-favourable weather.

Even for the genetically blessed duo, looking glam while wading through puddles is hard. Things took a turn for the worse when the Marvel star led Taylor-Joy right through a large puddle, soaking the train of her gown in the process.

Joy is famous for her breakout role as chess prodigy in Netflix’s The Queen Gambit, which came out in 2020 and earned her a Golden Globe for her role.

She went from a working actor to a Hollywood sensation practically overnight at the time she told Access Hollywood that it was an adjustment.

“It is a significant life change, and I’m just doing my best,” she said.

Since then, she’s starred in movies like the critically acclaimed The Menu and the blockbuster Dune 11. Outside of acting, she’s pretty private. She married musician Malcolm McRae in 2022.

She has over 10 million followers on Instagram but mostly shares promotional photos for projects she’s in with the occasional sprinkle of her personal life. She recently posted a cute snap of her meeting a Quokka.

She opened up to British Vogue about what it is like to maintain a relationship when long distance is involved. While she acknowledged that it is “hard”, she also said there are some upsides to it as well.

“It’s also kind of great because when you’re together you’re really valuing the time that you have. Every day, mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast,” she explained.
