Golden Globes 2021 live updates: Winners, speeches and best moments

Sacha Baron Cohen took no prisoners in a pair of pointed speeches at today's Golden Globes, as Aussie wife Isla Fisher watched on. 

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey kicked off today's Golden Globes by tackling the growing controversy surrounding the award show head-on. 

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association - the mysterious organisation comprising only 87 members who nominate and select Golden Globes winners each year - has come under fire in the past week for a lack of diversity after a bombshell report found there were no black members currently in the organisation.

And the elephant in the room was addressed several times during the ceremony, with the hosts, some presenters and even several winners calling out HFPA's lack of diversity. 

And at times it was a bumpy night: There were technical hitches, bizarre speeches and more than a few suspiciously boozed-up celebs. Here's how it all unfolded...
