Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm and her fiance Ryan Gallagher have announced the birth of their first child.
Seebohm posted on Instagram on Thursday night that the little boy, to be named Sampson Ryan Seebohm, had arrived.
Of the name, Seebohm previously said they were searching for one that was both “unique” but not “super crazy.”
The high-profile pair have been riding a wave of significant life events since they met in August last year on the set of the Channel 10 series The Challenge.
They kept their romance under wraps until December 5, just one day before they became engaged. Seebohm and Gallagher then kept the engagement secret until March 2023.
“We just wanted to live in our own little bubble, we just wanted that for us and our families,” Seebohm told The Courier-Mail.
The couple then announced they were expecting their first child in an Instagram reel on July 8.
“We’ve had a little bump in the road,” Seebohm wrote on the post, which features a sweet video of the couple holding hands and walking into the sunset to Ed Sheeran’s song Perfect.
The pair hug and kiss while revealing a glimpse of Seebohm’s growing bump.
The video ends with the words “Baby Seebohm due September” etched into the sand.
