As digital marketing tycoon Dan Hunjas and dental hygienist Sandy Jawanda exchanged vows after being matched on Married at First Sight on Tuesday night, it seemed they were set for some summer lovin’.
Mr Hunjas, a former Hervey Bay businessman even said he felt “an initial spark” during the pair’s vows, where the two hit it off at the altar.
During the build up the ceremony in Sydney, Ms Jawanda explained her decision to look for love outside the confines of Punjabi Indian expectations.
Her parents, who had an arranged marriage, declined to be filmed as she told them the news or attend the wedding ceremony.

The emotion of the moment clearly caught up with the stunning bride, who was dressed in a traditional red Indian gown with gold jewellery, during the ceremony.
“I may come across as a strong, fearless woman, but growing up as a first generation Indian in the ’90s has been challenging,” Ms Jawanda said during her vows.
“Being different, accepting myself for who I am, conforming to and meeting the expectations of my parents and the community while finding my identity as an Australian woman.

“So dear husband, why am I doing this?
“Because I’ve learned that a life lived in fear is a life half-lived. I’m done with just dipping my toes in. I’m putting my complete trust in the process and jumping in with both feet.”
Meanwhile, Dan explained that there was already one important woman in his life – his 16-year-old daughter.
“But now I’m ready to share my world with someone new. I promise to be patient while our feelings grow, and take the time to get to know you while we build a solid foundation of trust and friendship,” he said.
Mr Hunjas expressed respect for his new wife’s choice to follow her own path, calling her a “trailblazer”.

His friends were visibly shocked as they arrived at the colourful ceremony venue.
But a guest, who had previously cleared her throat, even said “you go girl” as the bride professed her independence.
Mr Hunjas who was formerly married to Teagan Peake, a buxom blonde, was seen calling his daughter Keely ahead of the nuptials.
The newlyweds exchanged traditional garlands at the end of the ceremony.
Mr Hunjas said he was hopeful for an “initial connection” and he got it and was hopeful he would “learn” during the journey
According to those close to Mr Hunjas the romance is short-lived, but time will tell.
Meanwhile, the Fraser Coast also featured in another aspect of the controversial television show.
Newlyweds Lyndall Grace and Cameron Woods, married in Monday’s season premiere, spent their honeymoon on Fraser Island.
