Crowded House will headline the 2025 Red Hot Summer Tour and Mackay’s Legends on the Lawn festivals, organisers confirmed on Sunday, leading a powerhouse all-Australian line-up featuring Angus & Julia Stone, The Church, Mark Seymour with Vika & Linda, and The Waifs.

Queensland fans will be the first in the country to experience the all-star bill, with the tour kicking off at Legends on the Lawn, a stand-alone outdoor concert held at Harrup Park in Mackay on October 11.

From there, the Red Hot Summer Tour begins its national run, with southeast Queensland stops at Sandstone Point Hotel on Bribie Island on October 18, Queens Park in Toowoomba on November 15, and Southport’s Broadwater Parklands on November 16.

Fronted by Neil Finn and Nick Seymour, Crowded House last toured nationally in 2022 and return off the back of their critically acclaimed 2024 album Gravity Stairs.

With more than 15 million records sold and hits such as Don’t Dream It’s Over and Something So Strong, the band remains one of the most enduring acts in Australian and New Zealand music history.

Joining them on stage, Angus & Julia Stone will showcase their signature folk-pop sound ahead of a new album in 2026; ARIA Hall of Famers The Church will perform a set span

ning four decades and Mark Seymour will reunite with powerhouse vocal duo Vika & Linda. The Waifs will round out the shows with their acclaimed roots-driven storytelling.

Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson welcomed the announcement, describing Legends on the Lawn as “one of the most successful music tours in Australian music history.”

“Legends on the Lawn has a fantastic formula and it works – a tremendous line-up of iconic Australian artists, affordable tickets, outdoor locations and a festival delivered like a well-oiled machine,” he said.

“And what an iconic line-up we have this year. Every one of these artists could draw a huge crowd, but combining Crowded House, Angus & Julia Stone, The Church, Mark Seymour, Vika & Linda and The Waifs on one stage is an opportunity music lovers can’t pass up.”

Presale tickets for all shows open Tuesday, June 3 at 9am local time via Ticketmaster, with general public sales beginning Thursday, June 5.
