Kenilworth Bakery has announced it will open a store a short drive from Brisbane.
The country bakehouse rose to fame in recent years for their decadent doughnuts, coffee doughnuts and other delicious creations and is expected to open a fourth location in Samford Valley in June.
Posts on Instagram and Facebook on Friday night by the group confirmed a new location would join their Kenilworth, Mooloolaba and Bribie Island sites, saying “New store opening in June...” and “Tag ya friends in Brisbane”.
Despite plenty of guessing from anxious doughnut lovers, job ads posted by Kenilworth Bakery on Saturday confirmed the news.
“Join the Kenilworth Bakery Team at our new store in Samford Valley!” the ad read.
“Are you ready to sprinkle joy at our bakery? Sling smiles, coffee, doughnuts and fun!”
“We are after energetic, doughnut and coffee-loving, legend to join our team at our new Samford store.”
Founded in 1924 Kenilworth Bakery has been a staple for the small village northwest of Montville for more than 100 years.
In 2016, new owner Jenna Sanders purchased the historic bakehouse and found immense success marketing the business on social media.
In a few short years the bakery became a bona fide weekend destination with visitors travelling far and wide to try their unique creations like the 1kg doughnut and coffee inside a doughnut.
