IT’S official — Channel 10’s Billy Bentley and Channel 7’s Sarah Greenhalgh are married.
The loved-up newlyweds tied the knot in a church ceremony in Ashgrove before throwing a reception at Stokehouse at South Bank on Saturday — and Confidential got their hands on some of the first beautiful snapshots from the big day.
The Couch Time presenter and the Seven reporter posed up for pictures around Fortitude Valley, including a sweet set at Mr Fitz in an attempt to recreate their first date — sharing ice cream in Cairns.
As an added bonus, it provided shelter from the rain.
While it was still storming with “torrential rain” 30 minutes before their ceremony was due to start, the sun — and even a rainbow — came out just as Greenhalgh arrived.
The pair told Confidential that sharing the day with their family and friends was “just magical” — and it was all topped off by a surprise fireworks display on the Brisbane River, which was set up by Greenhalgh’s family and began as they arrived at the reception.
Of course, the gesture brought the couple to tears.
“It was amazing,” Bentley said.
“Everyone had a great time — it was such a good day.”
The pair met four years ago and got engaged in October last year.
Is this Brisbane’s best bromance?
NOVA breakfast host David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral has been spotted hanging out with Chris Hemsworth’s personal trainer Luke Zacchi yet again.
The pair lived it up in a private box at the Wallabies vs South African Springboks match at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
And it seems Chris Hemsworth’s body double Bobby Holland Hanton was also there.
The group has been seen partying together on a number of occasions including in Fortitude Valley during Thor: Ragnarok’s Brisbane shoot and shortly after in Sydney.
Meanwhile, one of the film’s stars, Tom Hiddleston, was spotted having coffee at his regular Broadbeach hang out on Sunday.
It seems all the Taylor Swift-related fame hasn’t changed the British actor, who was just as relaxed about appearing in public when he shot Kong: Skull Island on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
And, following the release of the Juiced TV episode featuring Hiddleston and Hemsworth’s visit to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital last month finally going up online on Sunday night, Confidential is hearing the two actors were the most humble and genuine the staff had ever dealt with.
Apparently it was totally their idea to visit the sick kids and something they felt very strongly about doing – too sweet.
Realities of Doctor Doctor
DOCTOR Doctor star Rodger Corser revealed to Confidential that there were a few real life inspirations for his role in the upcoming Channel Nine drama.
Ahead of the show’s premiere on Wednesday, Corser divulged that he spent a little bit of time with surgeons in Sydney as research for the part of the heart surgeon with a healthy ego and penchant for partying.
He said doctors in Sydney said there are certainly examples of those with “God complexes” in specialist fields that also party as hard as they work.
“I’m not naming any names,” Corser said.
Snow White with an agenda?
IS Silvia Colloca spruiking her upcoming TV show on stage in Brisbane Festival’s Snow White?
Confidential has heard the Italian actress and cook, who is married to Aussie actor Richard Roxburgh, has set tongues wagging by apparently making thinly veiled references to her other career during her rather spicy role as the Queen in the opera-cabaret.
Coincidentally, it was recently announced her eight-part cooking and celebrity chat series Silvia’s Italian Table would premier on ABC TV on October 6.
