Brisbane radio host Robin Bailey has revealed why she needs to “slow down” after a horrific accident at home.

The freak incident, which unfolded in the confines of her garage, led to a series of unfortunate events including crashing into her son Finn’s car.

The breakfast host shared pictures of her black Mazda 2 on Facebook, showing almost every panel damaged.

“This week has been pretty crappy as I had a freak accident in my garage that not only completely decimated my car but also swiped down the whole left side of my son’s car,” she wrote.

A bid to find a lost necklace turned catastrophic when her foot mistakenly slammed the accelerator, sending her vehicle careening in reverse.

“My life has been a bit out of control and I am the one driving it, so to speak,” Bailey said.

“Now I know some people will think this is complete bull---- and it was just an accident, but I don’t see life that way, and I’ve realised that I need to slow down.

“Cars can be replaced but people can’t, so I’m just glad all this has only cost me two insurance excesses and a slightly dented ego.”
