RYAN Corr’s career nearly came unstuck last year.
The talented 26-year-old was busted with heroin in May 2014 and faced a potential two-year prison sentence.
But when he appeared in court he was given a 12-month good behaviour bond with no conviction recorded.
The career that nearly wasn’t now seems to be on the fast track.
“That incident feels like such a long time ago to me,” he said.
“I stood up and took responsibility for it.”
Now, Corr said, he looked forward to taking advantage of some incredible opportunities.
“It has been exciting to see what happens next,” Corr said.
“I have had the greatest opportunities I have had in my career.”
One of those is the film adaptation of Holding The Man, which opens in cinemas on August 27.
The film is already generating Oscars buzz.
“I don’t know where that buzz comes from,” Corr said.
“But I am happy to hear it.
“Usually films that have Oscar buzz have a really wide appeal, so I am really happy that Holding The Man has that.”
