Deciding what to wear for a meeting with the most powerful woman in the world of fashion is an understandable conundrum for any designer.
The choice is made slightly easier for Sydney sisters Hannah and Laura May Gibbs because they can at least wear their own label — Nagnata — when they come face-to-face with Vogue America editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
“We will probably feel nervous on the day,” Laura May told Confidential.
“But we are mainly just so excited about having the opportunity to talk to Anna Wintour about our concept and our collection and development, we are just excited for her feedback.

“Vogue Australia has been incredible to us and we are such a young brand, we are honoured and excited.”
Nagnata is one of 11 labels to have earnt the opportunity to meet with Wintour in Melbourne on Friday, at a designer showcase exhibition of emerging fashion designers at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
There, Wintour will donate her famous 2008 Met Gala gown, as well as a Chanel suit.
“I think a Chanel suit is probably the most iconic piece of clothing a woman can hope to own so I hope that is something the museum will enjoy having,” she said.
