CHANNEL 9 kicked off their explosive sixth season of Married At First Sight last week, and tonight’s episode is set to include one of the most anticipated weddings of the season.
Dubbed the villain of this year’s MAFS, Brisbane legal assistant Ines, 28, will finally walk down the aisle.
The confident bride revealed the hardships she’s faced with past relationships.
MAFS BAD BOY: ‘I’LL BE HATED BUT IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL’
Starting with the breakdown of her parents’ marriage, Ines touched on the detrimental effect their separation has had on her relationship with her father.
“My dad still has no idea I’m on the show,” she said. “And I’m not going to tell him.
“When filming started, he’d thought I had moved to Sydney for a job.”
Despite not being close to her father, the local bride said she hoped her surprise marriage wouldn’t put further distance between them.
“We’ve has some rough times. Times where we didn’t speak for years,” she said.
“Still, you want to make your parents proud, so I don’t know if I want him to watch it.”
Ines also revealed that no-one from her family attended her on-screen wedding.
“My mum and sister went to Canada to visit my brother, so I had no family at the wedding,” she said.
“In a way, I’m sort of glad they weren’t there. It means less pressure, and that I didn’t have to listen to their comments or judgments if they didn’t approve or support it.”
