MEL GIBSON isn’t concerned about keeping his Brisbane visit under wraps — even stopping to check the quality of a fan’s photo.
The Hollywood superstar, 63, was spotted out and about in Brisbane city on Thursday night, where he visited the Treasury Casino.
Local bar workers Chelsey and Chloe, who initially spotted Gibson with two men outside Irish Murphy’s pub on George St, stopped the actor and director for a photo after he exited a side entrance of the casino at about 6:30pm.
“I think he was just in a rush to head somewhere. But he did want to make sure my photo wasn’t blurry,” Chelsey told Confidential.
“He was like, ‘Wait, before you leave make sure the photo is good.”
“It was very nice. Nice guy.”
Earlier in the day he’d been spotted dining with business associates at The Fish Factory at Morningside, which is nearby to the new Screen Queensland Studios in the bayside suburb of Hemmant.
Gibson has long been rumoured to be considering Queensland as a filming location for an upcoming movie that would star Mark Wahlberg after he was sighted meeting with Screen Queensland executives in Brisbane last year.
Both Treasury Brisbane and Screen Queensland chose not to comment on Gibson’s visit.
