BACHELORETTE fans already unenthused about Ali Oetjen’s announcement as Bachelorette have further slammed Ten’s choice after the first promo aired on television on Wednesday night.

The brand new ad features Oetjen in a ruby red ball gown, singing You Can’t Hurry Love, surrounded by dancing men in suits holding out personalised heart-shaped signs.

But reality TV fans were quick to slam the ad as “cringeworthy” and Oetjen as “boring” and “vapid”.

“Everything is wrong with this,” wrote one fan on the show’s official Facebook page.

“Please pick someone new who hasn’t already got the whole of Australia uninterested! Boring.”

Added another: “Epic casting fail, Channel 10. Won’t be watching this one.”

Formerly a real estate agent from Adelaide, Oetjen first came to the public eye when she made it to the latter stages of The Bachelor.
