Emily Seebohm’s cryptic posts after split with Mitch Larkin

OLYMPIC swimmer Emily Seebohm has posted several cryptic messages following her split from Mitch Larkin.

Seebohm posted an image to her Instagram story last night stating “something I’ve learned about people … if they do it once, they’ll do it again”.

I’m over the drama you created. Now you can deal with what comes next.

The golden couple of the pool ended their relationship earlier this month and has sparked rumours of an alleged affair.

The Instagram story was soon followed by a tweet which read “I’m over the drama you created. Now you can deal with what comes next”.

While the posts come in the wake of her break-up from Larkin and allegations of an affair, Seebohm today took to Twitter again to state her tweet was not referencing her ex.

“... to clarify, what comes next is swimming fast in 2.5 weeks!”.

Seebohm announced the couple’s split on Instagram earlier this month and the next day Larkin was removing belongings from the home they bought in Brisbane a year ago.

Seebohm posted at the time: “I would like to take this opportunity before more speculation and rumours are spread. Due to current events that have occurred, Mitch Larkin and I have decided to end our relationship and go our separate ways.”

Also on Instagram she told a fan on Thursday: “It’s been a hard month for me but I’m doing my best.”

It is understood Larkin was disappointed Seebohm had made the break-up public.

After the split former swimmer and Larkin’s ex Meagan Ney weighed into the break-up.

Nay, who previously had a long-term relationship with Larkin while they were both competing in the Australian Swim team, posted on social media in reference to The Courier-Mail’s story of affair allegations.

The couple pictured at the Doomben Racecourse just months before their split.

“There is hard evidence in here, trust me,” the Gold Coast-based former swimmer posted.

It came as Nay and Seebohm, who previously competed against each other in backstroke events, made identical posts to their Instagram stories last night.

Each swimmer posted the same image of a seascape with the quote “What is coming is better than what is gone”.

Newly-single Seebohm hasn’t shied away from social media after the split. Over the weekend she posted a provocative image of herself hanging upside down on a pole.

Wearing nothing but black underwear, a pink crop-top and matching stripper heels, the backstroker proved she’s doing OK and her fans and followers were impressed.
