He wore a singlet that featured the Irish flag.

It comes after the Irish actor was spotted jogging in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast last week.

He is on the Gold Coast filming Thirteen Lives, a docudrama about Thailand’s Tham Luang cave rescue where a junior football team and their coach were trapped in a cave for 18 days in 2018.

The film also stars Viggo Mortensen and Joel Edgerton, and is directed by Ron Howard.

The Brisbane Marathon has events for five different distances, including 2km, 5km, 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km.

The event first opened to the public in 1992, with all competitors finishing at the Brisbane Riverstage.
