CHRIS Hemsworth has become the fourth highest paid actor in Hollywood after doubling his annual earnings over the past 12 months.

The Australian star rocketed inside the top 5 of the annual Forbes list, released yesterday, reportedly collecting an (AU) $88.2 million pre-tax pay cheque from June 2017 to June 2018 — courtesy of a string of Marvel films and a host of lucrative ambassadorship deals.

He jumped from 11th spot in 2017 when he raked in $43 million.

Hemsworth has appeared in four films in the past 12 months including Queensland’s Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, 12 Strong and the upcoming Bad Times at the El Royale.

He is currently filming the Men in Black reboot in London while the second Avengers: Infinity War film will also be released in 2019.

Last year it was speculated that Hemsworth agreed to a fee of $1.25m on a two-year contract to be Tourism Australia’s ambassador, which featured the famed Crocodile Dundee Superbowl ad this year.

He is also an ambassador for Jacob’s Creek wine, watch maker TAG Heuer and is the face of Hugo Boss’ Boss Bottled fragrances.

George Clooney topped the annual Forbes list after collecting a mammoth $326.9 million despite not appearing in a single film — thanks to the up to $1 billion purchase of his Casamigos Tequila.
