For Longchamp, she was supported by industry veteran Julia Nobis, who was her Year 6 support person when she started kindergarten at Wellington Street Public School in Bondi.

“We went to high school together (at Rose Bay Secondary School) as well but haven’t seen each other for years so it was really cool,” Midgley told The Daily Telegraph, adding: “Back at school we never talked about modelling, neither of us would have thought we would be models.”

Midgley describes her look as “classic feminine” and likes to see herself as a “chameleon” in the business.

She signed to Priscilla’s Model Management in Sydney when she was 16 and is represented by Women Management in New York, where she is on hold for further shows this week.

She will then fly to London for Fashion Week there, followed by Milan and Paris.

“I just got off the plane and straight away it was really busy,” said Midgley, who has modelled for brands including Country Road, Rip Curl, Bras N Things and Seed here in Australia.

“I guess I am in the right place at the right time. It is nice to be busy rather than standing still so I am just going with it. I feel like sometimes things fall into place.”
