Bold And The Beautiful actor Hunter Tylo passes on her key points to succeed in Hollywood

The Bold And The Beautiful star Hunter Tylo, who has been on the show since 1990, has given some advice to aspiring and wannabe actors wanting to make their mark in Hollywood.

Know yourself and what you are getting into is Hunter Tylo’s advice for any upcoming actors wanting to make their mark in Hollywood.

And make sure acting is your driving passion is the other key to life in show business for the popular Bold and the Beautiful actor.

“I get a lot of fan mail asking how people can get into this business and the thing is that the fantasy that they are seeing is that it is not that way,” Tylo told Confidential from Los Angeles.

“It is a blessing to me, I am very thankful, but I wouldn’t advise anyone to give up everything that they have got to go try to do it unless they really have a passion for acting because usually for most actors there is a lot of downtime and looking for work.

“It can be rough at times. I have seen friends lose everything because they thought their career would go on and on so it is not all it has cracked up to be. It is easy to get a distorted view of it. It is a dream but it is also a distorted fantasy.”

Tylo, 56, speaks with authority given she’s been a regular on Bold and the Beautiful since 1990, playing Dr Taylor Hayes.

“All of us are just in awe given all the years that have transpired and we are all still there,” Tylo said.

The actor is so used to playing Taylor she answers to both names in real life.

In other news, Tylo famously successfully sued producer Aaron Spelling for $5 million after being sacked from hit TV series Melrose Place before even starting the job when she told production she was pregnant.

Lisa Rinna went on to play the role of Taylor McBride in the series.

“What I went through when I got fired off of Melrose Place I knew that was inconsistent with what a woman was able to do and still have a family. Women are able to do whatever they put their mind to do. I have had other women thank me and that is one of the best accomplishments I can think of in my life. I am very happy about it.”
