Toni Collette spotted at Elton John’s final Sydney concert

A newly single Hollywood actress was spotted letting her hair down at Elton John’s final concert in Sydney.

Australian actress Toni Collette was seen enjoying Elton John’s final concert in Sydney on Wednesday night.

The 50-year-old, who recently split from her husband of 19 years Dave Galafassi, snapped a smiling selfie with an excited fan during the highly anticipated show at Allianz Stadium.

Collette was one of about 30,000 concertgoers who attended night two of Elton’s “last ever” Sydney performances.

“My gay little heart is throbbing,” Twitter user Daniel captioned the photo.

With the rain lashing down on the open stadium, ponchos came back into fashion – but luckily the weather did not dampen anyone’s spirits.

The Sydney actress – best known for her performances in films Muriel’s Wedding, TheSixth Sense, Hereditary and Little Miss Sunshine – shared her love for the musician online.

“Thank you @eltonjohn tonight was incredible,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a few snaps of the performance.

“I didn’t take many photos because I just wanted to absorb it all. It was EPIC – joyous and moving.

“You are a legend and I love you.”

Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is the 75-year-old’s final performances in Australia and New Zealand.

The legendary musician began his tour in Newcastle, before heading to Melbourne and Sydney.

His last Australian concert will take place in Brisbane on Saturday, before he jets off to New Zealand for three more shows.

The newly single Collette has been sharing snaps inside her “relatable” Sydney life on Instagram in recent weeks.

The mum-of-two posted pictures from her sunny summer days out in nature and shared inspirational quotes she found in random places around the Sydney suburbs.

The music lover also attended Nick Cave’s concert at the Sydney Opera House in December, which she described as “magnificent”.

The actress took to social media last month to announce her divorce from her husband of 19 years, Dave Galafassi, after a “substantial period” of separation.

The pair tied the knot in 2003. They share daughter Sage Florence, 15, and son Arlo Robert, 11.

“After a substantial period of separation, it is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing,” their joint Instagram statement said.

“We’re united in our decision and part with continuing respect and care for each other. Our kids are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape.”

The announcement came after pictures emerged of Galafassi passionately kissing another women in the surf at Sydney’s Manly Beach.
