Meghan Markle reveals secret code to call her the ‘B-word’

Meghan Markle used her latest podcast episode to skirt bullying allegations, saying “strong-minded women” were being gaslit into being told they’re “b*tches”.

Meghan Markle, dubbed “Duchess Difficult” in the British media over her bullying scandal, says the “difficult” label is little more than secret code for “b*tch”.

Speaking on her Archetypes episode titled “To ‘B’ or Not to ‘B’?”, Markle said the euphemism of labelling a woman as difficult, and calling them the “B-word”, was being used to “gaslight” woman who know what they want.

It comes a week after Markle slammed the “Duchess Difficult” nickname on the previous episode of her podcast, tilted “Upending the ‘Angry Black Woman’ Myth.”

“What these people are implying when they use that very charged word, is that, this woman. Oh, she’s difficult, which is really just a euphemism, or is probably not even a euphemism,” Markle told actor Robin Thede.

“It’s really a code word for the b-word.”

Markle’s thinly-veiled reference to allegations the “Duchess Difficult” bullied Kensington Palace staff as gaslighting is a remarkable double-down as Prince Harry reportedly attempts to walk back some of the harshest criticisms against the royal family in his upcoming memoir, “Spare”.

Before she left the royal family to move to California to strike lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix, Markle was accused of bullying two palace staff members in 2018, including the couple’s highly-regarded Australian private secretary, Samantha ‘the panther’ Cohen.

An anonymous source told The Sunday Times that year that staff found Markle “difficult” to work with, saying the loss of Ms Cohen leading to the headline: “Rumours swirl of ‘Duchess Difficult’.

“Sam will be a huge loss,” the palace source told the Times, adding the Australian was less enthused than Markle in continuing working together. “Going forward, Meghan might need someone cut from a slightly different cloth to traditional courtiers, who is not a career civil servant or royal insider”.

Speaking on Spotify to Ms Thede, an actor and writer, Markle says she has no interest in “reclaiming” or “embracing” the smear against a woman “who goes after what she wants” as being a B-word, spelling it out as “B. I. T. C. H.” for listeners, so as not to think she meant “bully”.

“So, perhaps the truth is that labelling a woman as the ‘b-word’ or as ‘difficult’ is often a deflection,” Markle said.

“A way to hide some of her really awesome qualities, her persistence or strength or perseverance, her strong opinion, maybe even her resilience and those are the very qualities we’re going to be uncovering today.”

MEGHAN CASTS VOTE

Meghan Markle has cast her vote in the California midterm elections, sharing an image of herself proudly sporting an ‘I voted’ sticker.

Sussex supporter Omid Scobie posted a photo of a beaming Markle on his Twitter account.

In the image, the mother-of-two is wearing blue jeans and an Archewell baseball cap.

It is unclear whether Markle chose to vote in person, or whether she submitted a postal vote.

It comes amid claims in a new book that King Charles was unaware Markle was biracial upon meeting her.

Author Christopher Andersen details Markle’s first meeting with the then Prince of Wales in his book, The King: The Life of Charles III.

King Charles reportedly remarked how the former Suits star looked like Pippa Middleton, the sister of Catherine, Princess of Wales.

“At the time, Prince Charles had no idea that Harry’s new girlfriend was biracial,” Andersen wrote.

“Not that it would have mattered at all, of course,” King Charles reportedly told an American friend. “But no, I didn’t realise that until later.”

Andersen said the King found Markle to be “completely charming” and “absolutely delightful.”

The book comes after Markle and Prince Harry made their own claims of racism against family members.
