Margot Robbie has officially departed Australia after a whirlwind trip back home, as she showed up at the premiere of a movie in Los Angeles overnight.
The Queensland-born actress, 33, walked the red carpet at the US debut of black comedy Saltburn – produced by her production company LuckyChap Entertainment – which marked one of the first big premieres since the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike came to an end last Thursday.
But the Oscar-nominated star was forced to reveal she’d recently lost her voice and was unable to speak to reporters at the event.
“I don’t have a voice, I’m sorry,” she can be seen mouthing to media lining the red carpet.
In another clip from the premiere, Robbie was heard being asked what designer she was wearing, with the Barbie star pointing to a female minder to speak on her behalf.
“[Maison] Schiaparelli!” the minder said, as Robbie nodded in approval.
The chocolate brown, strapless gown Robbie wore from the Italian designer featured a sheer corset bodice with a draping, velvet skirt.
It comes as Robbie spent two weeks in Australia with her husband Tom Ackerley this month, where she visited family in her home city of the Gold Coast.
Robbie also attended a number of events to promote her new Byron-Bay made gin brand, Papa Salt, which she launched alongside Ackerley and their friends Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas and Charlie Maas earlier this year.
The blockbuster actress shouted the first round of drinks on the bar for patrons at a trio of parties held around the country last week: At Mimi’s in Coogee, Mr Percival’s in Brisbane and Indigo Oscar at Cottesloe Beach.
Robbie’s public outings over the past few weeks come after she’s remained largely under the radar in the months following the blockbuster success of the Greta Gerwig directed Barbie, which was released in July and made over $1 billion at the global box office.
For her next filming project, she’s set to reunite with her Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling for an Ocean’s 11 prequel movie.
