Gisele Bündchen got emotional when talking about her divorce from Tom Brady in a teaser for her new interview with Robin Roberts.
The tears began flowing when Roberts brought up how Bündchen previously likened her split from the retired NFL star to the “death of a dream’, Page Six reports.
“How are you?” Roberts asked the supermodel in the teaser for IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain.
The simple question immediately triggered something deeper in Bündchen, 43.
“Well, when you say,” Bündchen began to respond, before taking a pause and tearing up.
The Brazilian beauty then turned to the side away from the camera and put her hand up to the camera while seemingly starting to cry.
“Sorry, guys. I don’t know. Can I have a little moment?” she said with a quivering voice.
The trailer then cut to Roberts changing the subject and asking Bündchen about co-parenting their two children –– son Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
“I think there’s easier days than others, and I can only control what I do,” she said.
Roberts later inquired about Bündchen’s current love life, asking, “[Would you] be able to open up your heart again to someone?”
Bündchen played coy and simply replied, “Ummm.”
She then added, “Where my heart is now is where I am right now. I’m living my truth, and I’m not apologising for it.”
The mum-of-two did not share any specific details about her romance with new boyfriend Joaquim Valente in the trailer.
However, elsewhere in the interview, Bündchen mentioned that from “everything” she’s experienced with love in the past, it made her realise “what I want and what I don’t want.”
Bündchen has previously spoken about both her divorce and her co-parenting relationship with Brady, 46, but neither she nor Brady have shared specific details about what exactly led to their split.
Page Six previously broke the news that the former couple separated after getting into an epic argument over Brady’s decision to retire and then un-retire for another season of football.
Bündchen later revealed that there was something “much bigger” going on behind closed doors.
“When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realise that we just wanted different things,” she told Vanity Fair in March 2023.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel has also discussed co-parenting and admitted that she does “get pushback” from the kids, because “now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways.”
As for her new beau, Valente, Page Six confirmed last month that she and the jiu-jitsu instructor are “deeply in love” and have “discreetly been seeing each other” since the summer.
“They were keeping things quiet — but recently there’s been more PDA; they’re happy to be affectionate with each other in public,” a source recently told us.
IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain premieres Thursday, March 7, on Hulu.
