The Sopranosactress Drea de Matteo has claimed that she is an “outcast” in Hollywood due to her outspoken support for Donald Trump.

In fact, she went as far as to joke that the Hollywood elite want to “take her out back and shoot her,” in a nod to a famous plot line involving her Sopranos character Adriana La Cerva.

Speaking to Fox News, she said: “They’re going to take me out into the woods and shoot me for not endorsing Biden”.

The 52-year-old actor, who also starred in Desperate Housewives, was asked by host Jesse Watters on Fox News whether she believes there are other big stars that secretly support Mr Trump.

“I think there is a lot of them,” she replied.

During the interview, Matteo was shown a clip of numerous stars who support Biden, including George Clooney and Julia Roberts. She then saw a video of Robert De Niro clashing with Trump supporters.

“I am mortified right now by my people. I don’t understand what we’re doing here … Yes, there are a lot of quiet Trump supporters. I wonder how much these actors got paid to endorse Biden at this point. I am curious. I wonder if De Niro got paid a location fee because he travelled to the courtroom to do that.”

“I don’t really manoeuvre inside that industry. I never have. First of all, Sopranos, we were the outcast, even though we were critically acclaimed, we still were outcasts. So I’m still an outcast, here I am.”

It comes after the TV star revealed she had joined website OnlyFans last year after sharing that while her role on The Sopranos is often seen as iconic, she didn’t bring in the big bucks because of it.

She shockingly made $US500 ($A645) per episode in her first year on the HBO hit.

“I never really made an intense amount of money,” the actress recently told Page Six.

It wasn’t until her character became recurring that De Matteo saw a pay increase, but it still wasn’t huge money.

“Then I made a couple of thousand, and then probably by the end is when I started making series quotes, but that money came and went immediately.

“I didn’t spend enough time on the show to really make money,” she said.
