Camila Cabello reveals fellow star she lost virginity to aged 20

Pop star Camila Cabello has revealed the fellow star to whom she lost her virginity when she was 20, calling the experience “beautiful.”

Camila Cabello has opened up about the first time she had sex, adding it was a “beautiful” experience.

The US singer, 27, said she lost her virginity when she was 20 with her then-boyfriend, British dating expert turned TV star Matthew Hussey.

The couple dated for just over a year from 2018, before Cabello went on to have a high-profile romance with Canadian singer Shawn Mendes.

“I had my first relationship at that time. It was late for my first relationship. I was 20,” Cabello said on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast.

“I had actually listened to his [Hussey’s] podcast before … Because he had, like, a dating podcast. And he is married now, so congratulations.”

She continued, “That was my first time having sex. First lovemaking was at 20, 21 … It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.”

Cabello added that Hussey, who married longterm girlfriend Audrey Le Strat last year, was a “great partner”.

“He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn’t in my industry too,” she said.

The Senorita singer shot to fame in the girl group Fifth Harmony, which formed in 2012.

Cabello left the group in 2016 to forge a solo career, achieving global success with her debut 2018 Latin pop album Camila, which peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard 200.

She recently opened up about her headline-making split from Mendes, with the couple breaking up in 2021 after three years together.

They sparked reconciliation reports after they were spotted kissing at Coachella in 2023, before going their separate ways for good.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March, Cabello said the reunion made them realise it wasn’t meant to be.

“You need to know it isn’t going to work, and you need to be like, I did it and I know,” she said.

“Some people have exes that are awful. He is not.”
