Johanna Griggs slams Woman’s Day: ‘Did you not learn anything from Rebel Wilson?’

JOHANNA Griggs has sensationally blasted Woman’s Day in an epic Instagram rant over an article she says is “filled with errors”.

TELEVISION host Johanna Griggs has once more taken aim at Woman’s Day over inaccurate reporting, asking the tabloid mag if it had “learned anything” from their recent court loss against Rebel Wilson.

This week’s issue of Woman’s Day features Griggs and her husband, Todd Huggins, on the cover, with the headline ‘Joh’s miracle: Why my hubby’s the bravest man in the world.’

Despite that first-person headline, Griggs did not contribute to the article inside, which claims that Griggs had saved her husband’s life when she used her “sixth sense” to insist he seek medical treatment for a growth in his throat.

“She had a sixth sense something was wrong,” the mag quotes an unnamed “family friend” as saying, and claims that, had the lump been left untreated, Huggins may have died in his sleep.

Griggs’ “world was collapsing,” Woman’s Day claimed, as she faced the “very real possibility” her husband would die.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Griggs set the record straight.

“Oh @womansdayaus Did you not learn anything from @rebelwilson smashing you in court? Or even from me calling you out previously for taking a lot of poetic license with your articles. I see you’ve excelled with your creative writing yet again this week ... which as usual is filled with more errors than I thought could be possible,” she writes.

“For the record: I didn’t have a 6th sense about anything ... nor did I save my husband’s life. The doctors and medical staff who looked after him did. Todd wasn’t rushed off to hospital like you’ve made up in your fantasy world. In fact we booked in to see specialists and doctors and in to the hospital like thousands of other families do every year,” she continues.

Griggs then pointed out a few other glaring errors in the article: The picture Woman’s Day used is so out of date it includes her since-deceased pet dog. And her sons, Jess and Joe, are 21 and 20 — not 19 and 20, as Woman’s Day states.

“In fact pretty much the only thing that is accurate in your article is that Todd did have an operation and for the record he has been doing really well since. And as much as he giggled at your cover line of being called ‘The Bravest Man in the World,’ even he thinks that’s a stretch. Seriously guys — give it a rest, and stop over dramatising things for us.”

Only last month Griggs used her Instagram account to slam Woman’s Day for an article claiming she was “crumbling” over her hosting duties on home reno show House Rules.

“Hey @womansdayaus I see you are at it again, writing bollocks ... It takes a lot to make me snap ... and possibly the closest I’ve ever got is the frustration I feel when I read such rubbish,” she wrote.
