Troy storms off after judging

HOUSE Rules host Johanna Griggs has hit back at Woman’s Day over an article in this week’s issue of the mag claiming she has “snapped” over the show and is “crumbling.”

The double-page spread is headlined: ‘Joh Snaps: Enough is enough!’, and claims that the host has found herself caught in the crossfires of the feuding judges on the hit home renovation show.

According to a “TV insider” quoted by Woman’s Day, Griggs is “crumbling under the pressure of keeping up appearances” and is concerned the “drama” could “damage her career.”

Reposting the article to her official Instagram account, the 43-year-old former Commonwealth Games swimmer had a blunt message for the magazine.

“Hey @womansdayaus I see you are at it again, writing bollocks. For the record: I don’t feel stuck between the judges. I’m not worried about my career, and I’m really not feeling any angst at all about this year’s series. It takes a lot to make me snap ... and possibly the closest I’ve ever got is the frustration I feel when I read such rubbish,” she wrote.

“This is just crap that you’ve made up to try and have a dig at #Houserules which FYI has just been renewed again for another season. Oh and that pic you have used is several years old! #fictionandmakebelieve #womansday #makinguprubbishforyears.”

Griggs is not shy about combating inaccurate reporting about her life in the weekly women’s mags — in 2013 she took aim at New Idea over a cover story titled ‘Johanna Griggs: My shock news at 40’.

New Idea teased that they would reveal a “perennially sunny Johanna Griggs’ secret” in the issue, the article was written from a series of quotes Griggs gave to The Daily Telegraph, The Australian and a previous story recycled from 2009.

The “shock news at 40” that New Idea had promised: That Griggs was happy to turn 40.

“Just read yet another made up cover story in New Idea where they pretend I’ve spoken to them. I haven’t,” she tweeted at the time.
