For the fourth year in a row Christmas is going to be a rather ribald affair thanks to Brisbane theatre producer Alex Woodward and friends.
His hit show A Very Naughty Christmas is back again at the Brisbane Powerhouse next month, and it promises to be naughtier than ever.

Mind you, it is full of the spirit of Christmas, and it does feature Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.
“But I should warn people that Mrs Claus does take her clothes off,” Woodward says.
“In fact, pretty well everyone takes their clothes off.”
A Very Naughty Christmas was born when Woodward and his friends were lamenting how little there was besides good clean family fun around the silly season.
“We wanted to do a show for people who aren’t religiously inclined for a crowd that wasn’t being catered to,” Woodward says.
“It’s an adults-only Christmas comedy featuring a live band, nine naughty performers and Christmas classics as you have never heard them before.
“Be warned – you may never hear your favourite carols the same way again.”
Stephen Hirst, who plays Santa, says the show is the perfect blend of funny songs and skits about uncomfortable extended-family Christmas lunches.
Woodward says A Very Naughty Christmas is the gift that keeps on giving.
“Brisbane’s favourite adults-only Christmas comedy is back to tickle your tinsel,” he says.
“Swapping the face masks for Santa hats – and not much else – Brisbane’s sexiest carollers are ready to delight, tempt and seduce you into the holiday season.”
A Very Naughty Christmas is on at Brisbane Powerhouse from December 3 to 13, tickets from $44.90; brisbanepowerhouse.org
