Scott Morrison, state premiers in war of words over vaccine mandates

The Queensland Government’s vaccine mandate will come into effect from Friday.

A series of rules based on vaccination status for people across the state, the mandate will determine that only the vaccinated can enter certain venues, unless you have a legally approved medical exemption.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath has revealed that it would be mandatory for all hospitality and entertainment venues and businesses operating at 100 per cent capacity under the mandate to only allow fully vaccinated staff and patrons in.

QUEENSLAND’S COVID-19 VACCINE MANDATE EXPLAINED

Locals will need to have access to their vaccination certificates to provide as proof when asked at venues. Here’s how to get your vaccine certificate onto your phone.

Those with medical exemptions must have a medical certificate stating that they are exempted from getting the vaccine, which can be downloaded from the Australian Immunisation Register.

A legally qualified medical practitioner is required to complete the medical exemption form and record this on the Australian Immunisation Register.

In the lead up to Friday, here is everywhere the unvaccinated can and can’t go.
