JIM Stewart likes to take the long-term view.
The low profile director of Canadian property company Quadra Pacific regularly visits Queensland to oversee the assets of the family company’s Australian arm.
And with an extensive refurbishment program at its 16-level 133 Mary St office tower and another on the horizon for its 28-level 288 Edward St building — both of which were bought in 1993 — he is here more than ever.
Mr Stewart said the company likes long term assets.
“In Canada we still have buildings that were purchased in 1949 when the company was started by my father,” he said.
This year Quadra kicked off the $3 million first stage of the 133 Mary St refurbishment and has finished end-of-trip facilities and other improvements.
