A CHINESE restaurant group that promises to dish up an authentic “spicy” food experience will open its first Brisbane venture later this year on the ground floor of one the CBD’s newest hotels.
China Chilli Holding Group — which runs a number of China Chilli and Spicy Sichuan restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide — has secured space on the ground floor of the 5-star Westin Hotel on Mary St which opened late last year.

“Our dishes are varied and range from all the Chinese classics you likely know and love to far more unusual options, often Sichuan in style and often hot, hot, hot, of course,” the company said on its website.
The flagship restaurant aims to be open by October and joins the Westin’s signature restaurant Eden’s Table and jazz lounge The Charles in the hotel.
It is in the heart of the growing Midtown precinct and is near Rio Tinto’s new head office which will be completed in middle of 2021.
The 26-story Midtown office tower will be created out of the former Health and Forestry House buildings, which face Charlotte and Mary streets, will house over 1000 Rio employees.
The Westin is also close to the Albert St intersection, where Cross River Rail is under construction.
Chesters Real Estate’s Michael Platsis, who struck China Chilli deal with Greer Gittoes said, it will take about two to three months to fit-out the new space.
