The venue, a four-storey hotel and function facility, has become one of the Valley’s glitziest destinations.
The 814sq m rooftop bar includes a number of additions, including a “microbrewery, bar and covered outdoor area,” the application said.
“As a consequence of the extension, an additional two (2) storeys are proposed, increasing the overall building height to between five (5) and six (6) storeys,” it said.
Cloudland, which opened in 2009, was affectionately named after the famous Cloudland Dance Hall which was located in Bowen Hills.
The former venue was infamously demolished by the Deen Brothers overnight in 1982.
