Plans have been lodged with Brisbane City Council for a 22-storey tower in Newstead.
The five-stage development at the corner of Stratton, Longland and Kyabra streets will incorporate retail, a hotel, apartments and a function centre.

Developer Panettiere Developments said it plans to overhaul the existing site, currently a two-storey retail space, as the redevelopment of one of Brisbane’s densest inner-city suburbs continues.
Named ‘Oro’, the 76-metre tower will include 85 short-stay apartments and another 154 residential units.
There are also plans for a function centre and offices on level 19, as well as retail on the building’s lower floors.
“Unique circumstances of the subject site and close proximity to Fortitude Valley and the Brisbane CBD, the proposal takes this opportunity to provide a true mixed-use development,” the development application stated.
The development application said the site’s proximity to aged care living and nearby amenities such as Woolworths at Gasworks made it an attractive place to live.
The project comes after the Brisbane-based Panettiere family bought the property at 75 Longland S in 2018, having completed a nine-storey, 107 apartment tower on nearby Doggett St in Newstead.
