These are some of Australia’s OnlyFans stars who were once cash-strapped mums and dads — but their earnings are now tens of thousands a month.

AUSSIE mums and dads are raking in big bucks by stripping off to make raunchy videos for online platform OnlyFans, despite warnings from cyber safety experts of the potential risks involved.

Lured by the prospect of earning serious money, cash-strapped parents are ditching office jobs to become “content creators” on the adult subscription site, joining celebrities such as Aussie basketball star Liz Cambage and former V8 Supercars driver Renee Gracie.

The platform, which allows sex workers, celebrities and influencers to charge fans for pictures, videos and customised content, is rapidly turning mainstream.

Sydneysider Jade Amber Williams has become a familiar face since debuting in 2019.

For Melbourne mum Emily Mai, starting up her OnlyFans page has proved life-changing and provided a financial boost that she says has secured her son’s future.

The 31-year-old, who left her job as a stripper to create her own content, makes more than $10,000 a month by posting videos on the site.

“All the money I make for OnlyFans is being used to pay for mine and my son’s future,” she said.

“I pay myself a weekly wage from my earnings and the rest is being put aside so that my son and I are set up for the rest of our lives.”

Ms Mai, who also has over 1.2 million followers on TikTok, said the flexibility allowed her to fit family life around her work, make a generous salary and not be tied to a desk.

“I share uncensored content on my page,” she said. “I have professional photo shoots and share those images plus my own home shoots.

The devoted mum said most of her immediate family know what she does for a living and were mainly supportive of her choices.

Former Married At First Sight star Mishel Karen, 50, earns between $5000 and $7000 a month by sharing intimate content on OnlyFans.

The Brisbane mum initially joined the platform to help get her out of financial difficulties when she lost her job.

“Being a single mum, I have never really had extra cash to do much with or to live an extravagant life, but I just don’t want my children to have to struggle to pay bills or be in debt,” she said.

“Whatever I must do so they can get a deposit or loan, so they can move forward, I will do that.”

There is, however, a potential price to pay for sharing intimate footage and pictures online, with eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant warning of the numerous future risks that content creators could face.

“If you are considering becoming an intimate content creator you need to be aware there are downstream risks,” Ms Inman Grant said.

“If you do share your intimate content, whether for a fee or free, it can be difficult to keep control of its distribution.

“It may end up being posted far more widely than you agreed.

“This can happen on a small scale with subscribers sharing photos, videos or screenshots with friends who have not paid the creator for them. Or it can happen on a larger scale.

“This wider distribution undermines the creator’s business model – who is going to pay for something they can get for free?

“But it can be difficult to identify the person responsible or enforce any restrictions in the subscription site’s terms of service.”

Australia’s leading male porn star Mr Iconic, 35, who makes “in excess of $16,000 a month” by sharing “full sex scenes” on OnlyFans, said he was “concerned” about potential risks, but took steps to ensure his content was protected.

“I do have a legal disclaimer on my site,” the Gold Coast-based father of two said.

“However, I understand the risk that’s involved with my content being shared without my consent and the only positive way I can look at it is that it’s extra promotion for me.

“There are a large number of creators who have had their content jeopardised and it’s the nature of the beast in what I do and I can only look at it in a positive way.”
