ONE of Brisbane’s most-anticipated new bars is just a matter of days from opening, but it’s not the only exciting new venue on the city’s entertainment scene as a $200 million development nears completion.

BRISBANE business partners Luke Fraser and Adam Flaskas are getting ready to unveil their highly-anticipated overwater bar at the Howard Smith Wharves.
The lads will be opening Mr Percival’s, the octagonal-shaped watering hole directly under the Story Bridge, at an invitation-only launch party on November 29.

Other parts of the $200 million redevelopment will be progressively unveiled in the months ahead, including the Felons Brewery and a row of up-market restaurants.
But one of those new eateries, Andrew Baturo’s Hong Kong-inspired eatery Stanley, is now expected to have its opening delayed by quite a few weeks.
It seems some complications have arisen with the delicate renovations under way in the Heritage-listed Water Police Building and the venue won’t start trading until sometime early in the new year.
Baturo, one of the city’s most successful restaurateurs, tells us he’s overcome similar challenges in other historic sites.
