A prized stretch of beachfront land just north of Noosa’s trendy Hasting St that has been at the centre of a celebrity legal stoush in the Queensland Supreme Court will go to public auction in May.
Described as a once-in-a-generation opportunity the 40.5ha property at 337 Teewah Beach Rd at Noosa North Shore, was the subject to a Supreme Court order and is being offered for sale by Glenn O’Kearney of GT Advisory & Consulting and Tim Elliott of Bell Legal as statutory trustees.
The property is half owned by Heidi Middleton, the co-founder of women’s fashion brand Sass and Bide, and her hotel developer husband Michael Malouf, with the balance owned by Jill Alexia Cameron – the former wife of federal National Party MP Ian Cameron
The Cameron family has had a part ownership of the site with two other families since the 1970s and Jill Cameron gained ownership of half of the site in 2002 after Family Court proceedings.
Malouf – who developed the multi-award-winning Calile Hotel on James St in Fortitude Valley – became interested in the site as a potential resort development a couple of years ago.
He later changed plans and the couple wanted to build a family home on the site, which is zoned for rural residential development. Property records show he bought out the other two owners in April/June 2023 in deals totalling $4.275m.
The Malouf-Middletons entered negotiations with Ms Cameron to buy the remaining half of the block. However, the property was going to auction and she withdrew the property from the auction process in the middle of 2023.
The couple took the issue to Brisbane’s Supreme Court to force a sale which was allowed by Justice Tom Sullivan earlier this year.
The property is being marketed by RWC Special Projects’ Mark Creevey and Tony Williams, in conjunction with RWC Noosa and Sunshine Coast agents Paul Butler and Paul Forrest.
Williams says it’s an opportunity for an astute buyer to “unlock the enormous potential’ of the property.
“It offers a rare combination of proximity to the lifestyle, tourism, retail, restaurant and commercial amenities associated with the Noosa area while being a secluded and beachfront location,” he says. It will be auctioned on May 10.

The event is expected to attract hundreds of fans eager to explore the new store and access exclusive products.
“On opening day we will offer exclusive products that aren’t available online, including the local Sunshine Coast T-shirt, exclusively available at Sunshine Plaza,” Daniel says.
