Woman critical after being found on fire in Melbourne front yard

A woman in her 30s is fighting for life after being found on fire in a Melbourne front yard.

A woman is fighting for life after she was found on fire in the front yard of a Melbourne home.

Police believe the fire began during a dispute outside the home on Rivercoast Road in Werribee South, about 32km from the CBD, about 2am on Wednesday.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of significant burns and was flown to hospital in Melbourne.

Two other people received minor injuries during the incident.

A crime scene has been established at the home, with photographs showing several plastic evidence tags laid in the yard alongside scattered items by police.

Forensic officers were also seen peering into a brown evidence bag.

A man and two women are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
