Washington | Donald Trump says he and Vladimir Putin had a lengthy and highly productive phone call that resulted in agreement to begin “negotiations” immediately on ending the Ukraine war.
The US and Russian presidents’ first phone call since Mr Trump returned to the White House signalled a dramatic turnaround in the Washington-Moscow relationship after almost three years of war in Ukraine.
