Washington | US President Joe Biden has called for a new bipartisan era with Republicans in Congress, but warned he would not back down on his key climate change laws, social security spending and tax increases on the wealthy.

After losing fewer seats in his first term than any other Democrat president in the past 40 years, Mr Biden also hinted that he would again run for president in 2024, telling reporters on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) : “Watch me!”
