Iowa farmers stung by Trump’s trade war eye Haley

Des Moines, Iowa| Sixth-generation farmer Grant Kimberley was stung by Donald’s Trump’s trade war with China and says the former president’s protectionist trade agenda could cost him votes in Tuesday’s crucial Republican state caucus.

While Mr Kimberley and other Republican farmers received a $US24 billion bailout as compensation for the dispute triggered by president Trump, they prefer free trade to government aid, and their patience is wearing thin with protectionism.
