‘I carry a firearm every day’: party chief who wanted gun inside RNC

Milwaukee, Wisconsin | The Republican chairman for the state of Maine wanted to bring his Kimber Micro 9 pistol with him to his party’s national convention this week for safety, saying the biggest risk to them winning the November 5 election was another attempt on Donald Trump’s life.

The delegate, Joel Stetkis, told The Australian Financial Review that “as a conservative, as an outdoorsman, I carry a firearm every day, but I had to fly here so I couldn’t take it on the plane and I wouldn’t have been able to get it through the security perimeter either”.
