Former Perth glazier Mitch Wishnowsky, the special kicker for the San Francisco 49ers, is hoping to make history on Monday by becoming the first Australian to play in and win a Super Bowl.

Wishnowsky will punt in his second Super Bowl in just four years when he takes the field against defending champions the Kansas City Chiefs, after losing to the same opposition on the National Football League’s biggest stage in 2020.
