‘I gave my best’: Biden defends legacy as he passes torch to Harris

Chicago | Joe Biden has formally relinquished the presidential nomination to Kamala Harris, using a valedictory speech to the Democratic National Convention to mount a spirited defence of his record in office and warn against a second term for Donald Trump.
Mr Biden, 81, received a hero’s welcome on Monday night (Tuesday AEST) – weeks after many in his party were pressuring him to drop his bid for reelection.
