Biden warns of ‘nuclear Armageddon’ in Ukraine war

Washington | President Joe Biden delivered a striking warning on Thursday (Friday AEDT) that recent threats from President Vladimir Putin of Russia could devolve into a nuclear conflict, saying the risk of atomic war had not been so high since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.
“We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis,” Mr Biden told supporters at a fundraiser in New York.
