Ben & Jerry’s founder arrested after interrupting RFK Jr hearing

Washington | One of the founders of US ice cream chain Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen, has been arrested in Washington after he interrupted a Senate committee hearing to protest Congress’ funding for Israel’s military as it wages war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Cohen, 74, was among a group of protesters who disrupted a Senate health committee hearing as Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the health secretary, promoted President Donald Trump’s budget for the next fiscal year.
