Trump refuses to rule out military takeover of Greenland, Panama Canal
Washington | President-elect Donald Trump warned “all hell will break loose” if Hamas did not release hostages before his inauguration this month and refused to rule out military action to control the Panama Canal and Greenland.
In his first press conference since Congress this week certified his election win, Trump stood for an hour at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida residence, riffing on a range of ideas – including renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America”, reversing President Joe Biden’s offshore drilling ban, and ending wars in the Middle East and Ukraine.
