Tel Aviv | Foreign Minister Penny Wong has urged the UN Security Council set a deadline for establishing a Palestinian state, as Anthony Albanese warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to heed international demands for a ceasefire.

Mr Netanyahu vowed his military would maintain its bombardment of Hezbollah targets in Lebanon with “full force”, even while engaging with US-led efforts to secure a ceasefire along Israel’s northern border that would ease the risk of a regional war.
