London | Lebanon-based militant force Hezbollah has launched a blizzard of missile, drone and mortar attacks on northern Israel, before an expected speech on Friday by the Iran-backed group’s leader that could set the stage for a broader military campaign.

Hezbollah’s fresh pressure on Israel’s northern front comes as Israeli tanks and troops surrounded Gaza City on three sides and began fighting inside the city itself, a week after the ground offensive began.
