Canberra | Israel’s military is warning 1.1 million Palestinians to evacuate south away from the frontline within 24 hours, signalling an imminent start to the ground offensive into Gaza, which will worsen the humanitarian crisis and comes with the risk of high casualties.

Israel’s adversary, terror group Hamas, responded by telling residents to stay in their homes and dismissing the warning as psychological warfare.
