Ukraine says it has attacked North Korean troops

Kyiv/Riga | Ukrainian officials claimed on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) their forces had fired at North Korean soldiers stationed in Russia’s Kursk region.
The incident, if true, would mark the first involvement of a foreign army in the Ukraine war since Russia’s invasion in 2022, and a possible expansion of what was already the largest land war in Europe since the Second World War.
